The World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is a global gathering of Scouts and Guides, held every four years in different countries. It brings together thousands of young people aged 14 to 17 from around the world to celebrate international friendship, cultural exchange, and the spirit of Scouting.
Looking ahead: 26th World Scout Jamboree – Poland 2027
The next WSJ is scheduled for 30 July to 8 August 2027 in Gdańsk, Poland. The event will mark the 120th anniversary of Scouting and will be held on Sobieszewo Island, known for its natural beauty and ecological significance.
Scouts Cymru has been allocated 2 Units for the 26th WSJ, this will allow 8 leaders and 72 YP across 8 patrols the chance to participate.
Participation and eligibility of young people
Applications for young people open in Autumn 2025
To be eligible for the WSJ, participants must:
- Be aged between 14 and 17 at the time of the event
- Be active members of The Scouts
- Attend and engage in selection and preparation events
